Hood - Prelude to Disaster

We thought you might like to see some "work in progress" photos of "Hood - Prelude to Disaster". Its really coming along now with the sky complete and the sea just needing some more detail. Mark has started the Hood itself and as you can see from the photo below has really captured the movement of the Hood.

We have included the final pencil print below in order you to get an idea of how the final painting will look.

Bronze military sculptures from Peter Walker

We are proud to announce a range of bronze military sculptures from Peter Walker which will soon be available in the Gallery and on the website.

Peter Walker’s sculpture has been described as "absorbing" and "powerful" and has been tipped for “ international significance”. Amongst an extensive folio of work Peter Walker’s public art includes monuments to Sir Izaac Walton, author of "The Complete Angler", one of the most important writers in English Literature. And a twelve foot tall representation of the Goddess Isis, described as "magnificent", underlining Peter Walker's aim to create "individually significant statuary".

His work ranges from sculpture for interior display (from 6 inches), to exterior and monumental work, with work available from his exhibition portfolio and by commission.

World War Two Paratrooper ( Height 7 inches / Width 4 inches / Depth 4 inches ). Prices are £89.95 + PP for a Bronze Resin version and £395 for the Bronze version.

Field Marshal Montgomery ( Height 6.5 inches / Width 4 inches / Depth 4 inches ). Prices from £89.95 + PP for a Bronze Resin version and £395 for the Bronze version.

We will be setting up a dedicated page for Peter Walker sculptures very soon so stay tuned for more information.

2 new commissions for 2006!

Two exciting commissions for 2006 will soon be unveiled!

"Big cats over Jutland" will be a naval battlescene featuring Royal Navy Battlecruisers closing with the german high seas fleet.

"Beckham scores a hat trick", despite its name will not be a portrait of the England football captain but of a P-47 Thunderbolt in action with FW190's. This military aviation painting will show Cpt Beckham shooting down three FW 190's in a single pass using the famous "Boom and Zoom" tactic. Cpt Beckham went on to shoot down two more german fighter planes resulting in five kills in one day. An impressive s count worthy of a painting I'm sure you'll agree.

Collectors Edition of Spitfire print "Bounced"

A collectors edition of Bounced featuring Geoffrey Wellum's spitfire in action during the "Battle of Britain" will be available for pre-order very soon. This highly collectable version of Bounced will feature two veteran signatures.

These include Geoffrey Wellum's and Edmund "Jesse" James who also flew a K registed spitfire in 92 Squadron and who was also "bounced" my german fighter planes. Both lived to tell the tale however and now you can own this signed collectors edition for £105.

If you would like to register an interest in this print send us an email or call 01326 319792.
